In this exhibirion we present the cartoons of thé Belgian cartoonist Chris Joole.

Chris was born in 1949 in Ostend and passed away last year in Kalmthout. As one of the few female cartoonists in Flanders, she took part in cartoon competitions during the 1970s and 1980s, regularly winning prizes.

 
Cartoonists Stefaan Provijn and Norbert Van Yperzeele explored Joole’s work — donated to the ECC by her family — and curated a retrospective exhibition.
