Summer cartoon walk 'Chicken & Egg'

Back

We dive back into the history of the European capital of the egg in a humorous and relaxed way. The European Cartoon Centre and Hultheim Kruishoutem take you on a leisurely stroll with the theme 'Chicken & Egg', from 1 July till 30 Septmeber.

The walk starts and ends at the European Cartoon Centre (René D'Huyvetterstraat 5C) and is about 5.5 km long. Along the way, you will discover cartoon spots with cartoons about 'Kip & Ei'. It is, as it were, an elongated exhibition of some 40 cartoons about chickens and eggs.

But there is more: during your walk, you will also learn about the history of Kruishoutem as European Egg Capital. How many eggs could you eat on a daily wage? Or what did King Boudewijn do in Kruishoutem?

So this summer walk has a lot to offer: relaxation with the whole family, a beautiful route, culture, humour and heritage. You can end your walk with a delicious regional beer in the BRASSERie of the Cartoon Centre (only on Sundays or for groups upon reservation).

As from 1 July you can download the walk from our website www.ecc-kruishoutem.be.

This cartoon walk is part of the jubilee year 15 years European Cartoon Centre and 40 years Euro-kartoenale Kruishoutem. With thanks to Erfgoed Vlaamse Ardennen and Sociumi.
